All films are loosing money.Only the stars and big directors are gaining from Bollywood. There are chances of a new order emerging from the debacles in Bollywood.Small films are falling like nine pins.A new territory has to found weather online or at the theatres.Stars like the Khans , Akshay Kumars and the likes of Ajay Devgan manage to get rich from every film. But are they eating the hen for the golden eggs.At least a thousand investors arrive in Bollywood from all over India and loose between 2-50 crores each. A sum total of 25,000 crores of liquid cash goes dry.The stars are getting rich no doubt and "all is well " in Bollywood.
If the Enforcement directorate would enquire the wealth of the top stars they may hit upon a jackpot of billions of rupees earned as earnings from films funded by the money launderers of India.
Almost every production company is bankrupt or on the verge of disaster. Now, what is the solution. Small micro budget films should be encouraged which spill out new directors , raw talent and change the face of Bollywood controlled by the aged jaded and ugly actor stars , the ugly potty dozen . Who can change this. Maybe a court of law ordering cinema houses and multiplexes to screen films with new comers or the government of India taking a stand. After all the multiplexes are made on public land and everything is subsidised for them as far as costs are concerned and tax holidays. The cinema houses did listen to the goons of the Sena in Mumbai and finally allowed Marathi films. Earlier there used to be film chain of the producer ,distributer and exhibitor , who released all types of films of all budgets but now the so called corporate exhibitors of multiplexes want a huge sum for release. Micro budget films are finished as of now. Now it is corporate cinema. The argument that the audience want only Bollywood entertainers doesn't hold good anymore. If you give the average Indian a good chance they would love to watch small interesting films. The audience may be getting sick of the stars and filmy kids. The government of India should wake up and kick out this menace of star kids from Bollywood or we may be watching the kids and grand kids of stars in 2020 or even in 2050.After all one just needs a 1000 star struck investors from all over India to fund 25000 crores in Bollywood.
